Christmas in Different Places

Merry Christmas everyone. Yeah, these days have been about preparing for the New Year but as long as the Christmas spirit is alive, it's Christmas. This post, I'll just be sharing some pics of places I've been to so far during the holiday season. Christmas is a great time to go to places, like the malls, because of all the decorations, ornaments and lights all over. It's only at this time of the year wherein almost every place looks attractive because of the decors contributing to the festive spirit of the season. Hope you enjoy some of these pics and apologies if they're not very good. :)

Of course, UST is one of the best places to visit this Christmas, you can check out my post on UST's Christmas decors here.

Here's the rest of my pics...

Trinoma, Quezon City...

SM North EDSA...

Now, the next two are that of a house somewhere in Marikina. I took them during a bike ride with dad and a bike group he joined. The house was so nice I just had to stop and take pictures of it. It's all complete... and includes a dinosaur made out of lights!

Next are from Araneta Center. Haven't been here at night yet, though I've seen it while passing by. Maybe one of these days as long as the lights are still up.

SM Megamall, Centris, Fisher Mall and Greenhills respectively...

SM Megamall

Centris
Angels and a Christmas tree in Centris
Santa Claus at Fisher Mall, Quezon Ave.

Greenhills. We weren't there for the Christmas on Display.
 And finally, Robinsons Magnolia...

And of course, churches are definitely worth visiting during the Christmas season. You can check out some of my pics of them at my Simbang Gabi posts and at my account on flickr.

While the decorations in different places are still up, its definitely worth visiting them before the holidays come to an end. :)

To cap off the pics, here's a picture of the most important thing to put up during Christmas: The Belen.

Belen at Sto. Domingo Church, Quezon City
This is also going to be my last post for the year. 2014 has been a good year although there were definitely some low points. I hope that 2015 will be a better year. I gotta admit, this year went by so fast... Nonetheless, no doubt there were blessings through the year. :)

Thank you Lord for every blessing this year and continue to guide and accompany us in the coming year of 2015 and in all the days and years to come...

Thanks for reading everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR! :D

Update: made some additions and added Greenhills.

Christmas in UST

Finally, it's nice that I'm back here and blogging again after while... Been a busy week since it was finals period and had a lot of papers to submit, plus my thesis proposal. I know I've got a lot more to do but in the meantime, now that my exam's over, I can just relax and enjoy myself now that it's my Christmas sembreak. Yep, it is both my Christmas and sembreak and next time I'll be going back to class will be this January. Hopefully it's gonna be happy days ahead with Christmas in the air.

And speaking of Christmas, yesterday I went back to school to attend the lighting of the Campus decorations. I won't focus on the personal details, like hanging out with friends, just the lighting and the decors. Before the campus turned on its lights at about 6, there was this short program and blessing. Right after, there was a dance performance (by UST Salinggawi I assume) and a fireworks display. And then, the moment we all waited for, the campus lights turned on much to everyone's delight. Beautiful lights as always. UST really is a Christmas Wonderland, much like those that you see in pics. After the lighting, there was a mini concert at the Benavides park.

Now, behold UST's Christmas decors... (as seen from my good and not-so-good pics)

Lover's lane
"It's Christmas time in the city..."
Not much decors on the Main Building. Still nice though...
Concert at the Benavides park

"I'm dreaming of a white Christmas..." This is probably the closest thing to it. :)

I notice every year though, there seems to be less lights. Before there were a lot of lights everywhere. Now, not so much, most of it being concentrated at the lover's lane. Even the Main Building this year didn't have much lights on. Probably the biggest change though is the Christmas tree. Before, it was always next to the grandstand. Now, it's in a corner of the field near The Arch. Even with all that, it was an amazing sight. Hopefully I'll be heading to Paskuhan which will be celebrated this year on December 8, 2014. In the meantime, it's best that I enjoy my sembreak and the holidays...
With that, I'm done. Thanks for checking and happy holidays! :D

Christmas Decorations in Eastwood

I mentioned in a previous post that on New Year's day, I went to Eastwood with some family and relatives and I took pictures of the decorations there I'll post some of my pics here for the the last day of our Christmas break and for many, the last day of the holidays. Some of the things from the New Year's countdown the day before were still there when I came. I haven't been to Eastwood for Christmas since 2011 I believe and it's good that I went there again. Here's pics of the decors in Eastwood.

Christmas lights and decors in Makati

Last Dec. 21, I went to Makati to see it's Christmas lights. I have to admit, they were very beautiful and were definitely worth seeing, but on that day, I was in a hurry and couldn't stay there for too long because of the fact I had to attend the Simbang Gabi that night. Despite the really short time I was there, it was still a good experience, although tiring...

First, from the MRT Station, I went through Glorietta, then Greenbelt. I learned my lesson from the last time I went there because that time, I was lost and wasn't able to go to Ayala Triangle. Then, I thought I knew because I stumbled upon the place at one time. But now, I know and went to Ayala Triangle and watched the lights show there. Amazing lights really. From there, I took a jeep to Glorietta and went down in front of Rustan's. There, I saw these really nice decors in their windows. After taking a few pictures, I went to the MRT and headed to Megamall.
